Andrew, a Lieutenant in the British Army and in Kashgar for mysterious reasons, agrees to take her to Northern India. The first few chapters is their journey from Kashgar, via one of the Silk Roads, to Gilgit in what is now Pakistan. The second part of the book starts in England in 1941 when Andrew and Katya meet up again. He's in SOE and runs a team of saboteurs in occupied France. His identity is compromised, he goes to ground, people are trying to find him and think Katya knows. <br />Gretchen, sorry, but no.
